Marlborough Engineering supplies precision metal components to a diverse set of applications from high performance scientific cameras to oil rigs and aeroplanes. The company routinely machines Aluminium, Stainless Steel, Copper, Brass, Invar, and Mild Steel.
Marlborough Engineering has a variety of Machinery ranging from 3 to 5 axis CNC machinery with bed sizes upto 2.5 metres, that enables us to produce high quality produce in an array of materials and in an assortment of Finish and specifications.
Marlborough has developed a KanBan precision machined components supply model, which was designed for a key customer over several years and has delivered significant value. The model requires significant commitment from ourselves and the customer but creates a very secure and stable commercial relationship which is more of a partnership than a traditional supplier/customer relationship. Once the KanBan is in place and when the customer has felt the benefit of reduced stock holdings and a zero lead time, it becomes easier to increase our share of the customer’s overall mechanical requirements. We targeted bringing this model to a number customers for their larger packages.
